Julie's Win
Conquering Your fears And Embracing Your Femininity
Julie's story is one of the dearest to me. Julie contacted me after a good friend of hers, Keri, posted on Facebook how wonderful the experience at my studio was, and how Keri treasured the portraits made.
Julie wanted to do a boudoir session, among other things, because she was going throug a tough time in her marriage and the boost of confidence, she felt, would be just what she needed.
When Julie arrived at the studio, she immediately made a confession: "I almost canceled at the last minute!". "This is perfectly normal. So many doubt come to mind at that moment," I told ger. And I reassured her that this shoot was completely under her control. She can go anywhere she wants and nothing has to happen. If she wanted to do a very "tame" session, that was perfectly fine.
We started with some elegant and playful portraits, like the first two. After 20-25 minutes Julie's confidence became stronger and that point she really started having fun. And so she decided to move to the boudoir portion of the shoot. Lingerie, lace robe, stockings. An oversized shirt.
At the end Julie's embraced all her courage and changed into a see-through neglige: "Oh, what the hell. I'm a woman!" she said to me. I felt so proud of her.
I can't show you those picture. Those are for Julie's personal album. But that kind of transformation is what this kind of sessions are all about. The portraits are your forvever memnto of the experience. The transformation is what matters.
